Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 13

If you checked well the posts with my patterns, I think all these tea bag envelopes are already featured there.

Here Fanfan was born. Isn't it cute? Actually, I just thought I will make a pattern also of the small black elements, but have not named it yet!

And here I started to train some more variations for Sutura, one of my line enhancers. Should they be considered embellishments more than patterns?

And also here I think I want to make a pattern out of the flamy things coming out of Sutura. We'll see! And the three shaped form... I thought it was Chemistry, but probably it's not. Maybe it was a variation of my Okome! :D

Here we have among the line enhancers also Darm, which will be featured as a filler in the future.

And here I used Orbs-La-Dee as lines where I could draw the dots for Grains, instead of filling it. I like using patterns in a different way!

My second "Zentangle Together"

It took four weeks, but I managed to organise another meeting here in Berlin to tangle with other people! Numbers looked good on paper, the attendancy seemed more than double than the previous event by checking the attending and interested members. But we know, attendants in Facebook don't always mean attendants in real life.

The Facebook group where I organise the meetings is Zentangle Café Berlin, in case you want to join.

Cold arrived in Northern Germany, and people are getting sick. Almost everybody was sick on Sunday.

I arrived at the café where we had the meeting, and in my room many elder people arrived for a birthday party. It was a bit messy but it was fun!

But fortunately one girl joined! We moved to another room, a bit more quiet, chatted a bit and started tangling.

I found it pretty interesting to see Zentangle with the eyes of somebody else. Also how drawing some patterns the other way round could bring to similar results, and how something that for me is super obvious is not so crystal clear for somebody that never tangled before.

I was not super prepared, until the day before I was almost sure the meeting would have been with also a woman that has more experience than me in Zentangle, so I was not fully in teach mode.

I tried to start with easy patterns, Jetties and Shattuck. To be honest I wanted to squeeze four patterns in something like an A6 size (around 10x15 cm) but the other girl tangled in a very small area so I had to opt for less. At some point I had the feeling that Jetties was a bit too boring, so I showed that also Dark Busters could have been drawn inside the same orbs. And showed straight Shattuck and curved Shattuck.

It seemed there was interest for flowers and leaves on the other side, and so she chose Rosalyn and then I figured out all others.

I found it interesting how she tangled Rosalyn differently. I tried to mimic her way on the top, maybe you can see it, even if the pattern is submerged in Flux in small orbs.

Jetties, Dark Busters, Printemps, Shattuck, Rosalyn, Sunlight, Yumemi. 28 September 2025

And now I wanted to show how you can fill fast pages, when you tangled in the center of the page and you have space at the side. Two of my favorite patterns that you build on curves and that can fill all space that you want. Side-Winder and Fluxfan.

Side-Winder, Fluxfan. 28 September 2025

I finished the tangles in the evening. Right after tangling I had a walk to go and see if I could see the last sunbeams in the park!

Here I finished shading. Not so convinced of how I shaded Sunlight.

And here I drew a couple more patterns after checking here and there (mostly Musterquelle and Pinterest) and then shaded everything.
Side-Winder, Fluxfan, Hamadox, Laflor.

I like a lot how shading looks like in this sketchbook. The pages are a bit rough and have a texture, and the graphite sticks to it well. :)

I wonder when I will manage to make another meeting. :D
It seems so difficult.
On top of it, I think I added too many Berlin people on Facebook to be able to invite them to my group (I added quite some people from Berlin that are in Zentangle groups) and now I cannot even add people I know and that are shown to me in the "people you may know" feed. So it is also a bit more difficult to find a way to make the people know there is a group and a tangling meeting. That I would like to be regular and also to take place when I am not in town like a regular meetup, but... I still need time. And patience.

Let's see if it will work. If not, at least I tried. :) That's important, right?

Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 12

Another post with lots of tea bag envelopes where I trained some of my patterns. It means... lots of them, since I am not training several different patterns! :)

Here I having quite some fun with Walena and some perfs. I had to reckon that perf is an embellishment and not a pattern.

And finally I started playing with something different. I don't know if I made up the ribbon and about the flower... it is a variation of a pattern I do every now and then that can be considered a variation of Manair.

Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 11

Today we have even more envelopes! I did quite some monotangles and trained a lot Essessesse.

I live tanbrella but have not used it very often.

I do not recall the name of this pattern either, the lines and border are inspired by a fraction of Lenche.

Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 10

Another day, another tea bag post!

Have I ever said Dark Busters is one of my favourite tangles? Probably I don't like it as much when it is so deformed, but you have to try things out to know it!

Dark Busters. July 2025

I think the flowery tangle on the left is a variation of a less spiky flower that I wanted to try out. Or maybe it's Alla. Who knows? As for the orbs inside a peapod, I cannot remember if I drew it on my own or if I was copying anything, but it looks like a variation of... a pattern where both sides look like auras. I will slowly look for the name, it's a common one but I don't tangle it very often.
Alla, Eclectric, Jelly Legs, Steps. July 2025

Saltz, Side-Winder Fluxfan, Efilys..  16 July 2025.

In the upper part I wanted to do lotsadots with lines but it was too irregular, it ended up bad and simply added more lines and colored some of the spaces.

And while training, Essessesse was born.
About Mooka, I think it sometimes called Mooka and sometimes Flux by the Zentangle Headquarters. So I will call them as I feel on that day. They are anyway obvious patterns that everybody into Zentangle should know.
Den Long, Essessesse, Mooka

So I had to try it straight away.
