This is a pattern born to fill some thin spaces, that then decided to become the star of the show.
It is good for wide ribbons, solo, to draw real or imaginary borders and to fill larger spaces when you repeat it randomly around the page or tile.
Here when the pattern first popped up, in between Den Long spaces. Together they make a nice ribbon.
