Qangoo - inspired by Tomàs Padrós

Image
The name Qangoo is a tribute to Kangular, which can be considered a very close relative of this pattern. Qangoo Deconstruction page. 23 April 2026 And let's check the tile one by one. Let me know if you feel like I skipped a couple of steps here. No overlapping lines, but probably it would have been clearer with two steps more. Qangoo Step Outs part 1. 23 April 2026 The last steps of the deconstruction and some variations.  Qangoo Step Outs part 2. Other Patterns: Kietti, Flux. 23 April 2026 Wow, a bit of color! I often forget to go for it in the pattern sketchbook. Qangoo, Flux, Printemps, Sez. 23 April 2026 How much can you mutate a pattern and merge it with others? Qangoo, Cider, Tipple, Srose, Corfo, Fescu. 23 April 2026 Lines here are straighter. Qangoo, Sez, Corfo, Queen's Crown. 23 April 2026 Deconstructing a pattern for real. :D Qangoo. 23 April 2026 As the most of my patterns, I have first tangled it on tea bag envelopes. Qangoo, Molygon. 13 February 2026 My Patterns C...

Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 68

Image
Time for some more tea bag envelopes! This pattern has been born like a Lifi variation, with only one leaf per side. Should I give it another name, since I did also the piercing variation? I don't think so. :D Lifi. 8 April 2026 Lots of patterns. I found the names on the spot. I am sure I have already posted Floofloo in this blog, but did not name it. Not sure I will add Fescaround in my pattern sketchbook. We'll see. FlooFloo, Crossie, Fescaround, Lollytemps. 8 April 2026 I did not tangle Queen's Crown for a while.  Hmmm... FlooFloo, Queen's Crown, Printemps, Fescu. 9 April 2026 I know, this is doodling. But I find it funny and I like also fun things! Probably I am more keen to Funtangle than to Zentangle! In-Or-Out-Faces Hmmm... This is actually Oosagi. But I changed mind soon after. Loola was a nice name, by the way. :) Oosagi. 9 April 2026 Trying to tangle Narwhal. I have to do it more often. Narwhal, Marasu, Printemps, Sibabol. 10 April 2026 Here I changed my mind ...

Janko - on the seek of the white lily

Image
On one of my notes I wrote white lily. I wonder if I found a white lily pattern, or what, and I wanted to draw it. I looked for it everywhere, could not find it.  I think I tangled this pattern inspired by haraldic lilies appearing in several images from the middle ages. It's simple, it could be also considered to an extent a Bales tangleation. I have asked around if this pattern already existed, because I could not find it. Janko is a loose version of the Italian for white lily, "giglio bianco". Janko decontruction page. 22 April 2026 You can see, there is a fragment version, that could be considered a variation of Bales, and a freeform version. Janko step out. 22 April 2026 As usual, I love to investigate several variations.  You can draw other forms in the fragments, Put the spiker part inside or outside. Mix it in the same elements. You can do whatever you feel!  Janko fragment variations. 22 April 2026 Here I use Molygon as a reticula. And also some Tripoli. Molygon,...

Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 67

Image
Time for some more tea bag envelopes! Here I did some doodling based on a guitar by Picasso. The day before I did a course by Michael Markowsky where I drew it twice, the second time upside down. When I am done with that sketchbook, and it will be pretty soon, I will probably post everything. Even if not tangling! I cannot make a separate blog for every interest of mine! :D 7 April 2026 Here I have been playing with several All Dent variations. All Dent, Verve, Dentlip, Fescu, Flux, Isonu, Betweed. 7 April 2026 More All Dent variations. Or better said, a Dentblade varation... but it's an All Dent variation itself. Dentleaf, Marasu, Fluz, Lifi, Grains, Tentoculus, All Dent. 7 April 2026 More of the same. If I focus on some tangles then I can post more drawings in the same post, it's good. All Dent, Dentleaf. 7 April 2026 Something simple.  Fescu, Negtip. 7 April 2026 Do I really want to add a tangle here? Now I do not feel like it. We'll see, maybe I will change mind. Or som...

Noziro and Gescu - do you like Fescu tangleations?

Image
Coupling patterns again in the sam page? You know, I will do it more often and often with simple patterns, or tangleations... Especially if it's Fescu tangleations, I happen to have some around! Time for Noziro and Gescu. Noziro and Gescu deconstruction page. 22 April 2026 Noziro. The name is (H)orizon inverted. If you have any wobbly horizon line in your tangle, you can tangle leaves and Fescu there. In this deconstruction you can also see that you can draw more lines and stack more levels of Noziro. In real life there is only one horizon, in Zentangle there are no limits! Or maybe there are some, but you are free to break all of them! Noziro step out. 22 April 2026 You can use other leaves and other Fescu variations. Noziro, Swish, Msst. 22 September 2026 Every border is an horizon. Noziro, Meer, Circus. 22 September 2026 And this is the tea bag envelope where Noziro saw the light. Noziro, All Dent. 5 March 2026 And here we have a geometric Fescu, aka Gescu. Two Fescu (but maybe ...

Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 66

Image
So happy I reached tea bag envelopes from April! Why do I see Mooka monsters here today? Mooka, Therefore, Dewd, Tipple. 1 April 2026 Another leaf pattern, super simple, that I feel like new-pattern material. And if it is not... it's ok. If somebody thinks I am adding too many patterns, if there are any you do not like, you are free to tell me! It has something in common with Spoon Flwrs, but not everything. Jelly Legs, Drifi. 1-2 April 2026 Also here I ended up trying some stuff, but I do not think I will add any pattern. Paradox, Antidots, Negtip, Fronde, Tipple, Daiamo, Sez. 2 April 2026 Here I am playing with a pattern I don't tangle often... but I find it nice! Nunsuch, Flux. 2 April 2026 And another new pattern here. Pretty easy, but I like how it looks. Easy patterns are the best ones... maybe! :) Dointar, Okome, Tipple, Printemps. 2 April 2026 Ladies and Gentlemen, I am done with the third box of tea bag envelopes! Finally! I have another half bag to go through, but sti...
