Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 70

Image
Quite some time I did not add a post with tea bag envelopes. But the hot weather is keeping me at home during a weekend (not so true, I will probably go to an art picnic later) so... here I am, again.  Will I manage to keep my blog and do some exercise and sleep and have a tiny bit of a social life? And work, of course. We will see. See what we have, a new pattern! Animooka, Kietti, Shattuck, Tipple. 16 April 2026 Ooops, I forgot to lighten the pic! Sorry! Paradox, Fescu. 16 April 2026 Lots of Lifi, I use it pretty often. Croon, Fescu, Lifi, Aquafleur. 17 April 2026 A bundle like tangle. Sampson, Icanthis, Bronx Cheer, Ravel, Fescu. 17 April 2026 And here I am using another one of my new patterns, I have to find the name again... And it is Crecava, from the past post with tea bag envelopes! Crecava, Kietti, Fescu. 17 April 2026 Should I give a name to this Mooka flower? Probably. Cormoo, Printemps. 17 April 2026 And the last one for today. Lifi, Swarm. 27 April 2026 My Patterns Ani...

Geps - Big eyes good evil

Image
Oh my, I have not been around for a while. My sleeping patterns were becoming crazy, or better my sleep was becoming non-existent, so I decided to prioritize running, lifting and sleep. But I cannot stay more than one month without posting! And here I am, in one in the warmest days ever in Berlin. It's 38° Celsius (100° F I think) and should go to 39 in the next hours. Geps comes from Geppo, a comics character of my childhood. A good devil that tried its best to do good deeds. It is inspired by Doodle Critters from Dawn George and other "face" tangles. Probably not a tangle pattern worth submitting to tanglepatterns, yet I wanted it to have its page as well. Let's say there are tangle patterns and marziottangle patterns. :D  Geps deconstruction page. 23-24 April 2026 Here the step out. You start from the eyes, and draw the rest. Geps. Step out. 23-23 April 2026 You can draw several animals and fantasy creatures with the same step out! Geps. Several variations. 23-24 A...

Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 69

Image
I know, I have not been around for a while. I have been on holiday. The Azores are wonderful. Flights there can be problematic, but the islands have a definite charm, with their nature. I will probably go back, when more flowers are in bloom! Will I manage to be back to the schedule and post more or less daily? We will see! :) Even if the pattern shown here is pretty different, it is inspired by my Kietti. The center is not black, but like Printemps, or some variations. But still. That's why the name is mixing Kietti and Printemps. Kiettemps. 13 April 2026 Back to more Kietti fillings! Kietti, Ciottoli. 14 April 2026 More shapes for Kiettemps. Kiettemps, Crescent Moon. 14 April 2026 More Kietti filling, applied to my Borgoid and Kaspah. Borgoid, Kaspah, Wurf, Kietti, 'Nzeppel. 14 April 2026 Now using Kietti to fill Drawings and Scena. Drawings, Scena, Negtip, Kietti. 14 April 2026 More Kietti on some free forms. Kietti, 'Nzeppel, Fronde. 15 April 2026 I could not remember w...

Qangoo - inspired by Tomàs Padrós

Image
The name Qangoo is a tribute to Kangular, which can be considered a very close relative of this pattern. Qangoo Deconstruction page. 23 April 2026 And let's check the tile one by one. Let me know if you feel like I skipped a couple of steps here. No overlapping lines, but probably it would have been clearer with two steps more. Qangoo Step Outs part 1. 23 April 2026 The last steps of the deconstruction and some variations.  Qangoo Step Outs part 2. Other Patterns: Kietti, Flux. 23 April 2026 Wow, a bit of color! I often forget to go for it in the pattern sketchbook. Qangoo, Flux, Printemps, Sez. 23 April 2026 How much can you mutate a pattern and merge it with others? Qangoo, Cider, Tipple, Srose, Corfo, Fescu. 23 April 2026 Lines here are straighter. Qangoo, Sez, Corfo, Queen's Crown. 23 April 2026 Deconstructing a pattern for real. :D Qangoo. 23 April 2026 As the most of my patterns, I have first tangled it on tea bag envelopes. Qangoo, Molygon. 13 February 2026 My Patterns C...

Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 68

Image
Time for some more tea bag envelopes! This pattern has been born like a Lifi variation, with only one leaf per side. Should I give it another name, since I did also the piercing variation? I don't think so. :D Lifi. 8 April 2026 Lots of patterns. I found the names on the spot. I am sure I have already posted Floofloo in this blog, but did not name it. Not sure I will add Fescaround in my pattern sketchbook. We'll see. FlooFloo, Crossie, Fescaround, Lollytemps. 8 April 2026 I did not tangle Queen's Crown for a while.  Hmmm... FlooFloo, Queen's Crown, Printemps, Fescu. 9 April 2026 I know, this is doodling. But I find it funny and I like also fun things! Probably I am more keen to Funtangle than to Zentangle! In-Or-Out-Faces Hmmm... This is actually Oosagi. But I changed mind soon after. Loola was a nice name, by the way. :) Oosagi. 9 April 2026 Trying to tangle Narwhal. I have to do it more often. Narwhal, Marasu, Printemps, Sibabol. 10 April 2026 Here I changed my mind ...

Janko - on the seek of the white lily

Image
On one of my notes I wrote white lily. I wonder if I found a white lily pattern, or what, and I wanted to draw it. I looked for it everywhere, could not find it.  I think I tangled this pattern inspired by haraldic lilies appearing in several images from the middle ages. It's simple, it could be also considered to an extent a Bales tangleation. I have asked around if this pattern already existed, because I could not find it. Janko is a loose version of the Italian for white lily, "giglio bianco". Janko decontruction page. 22 April 2026 You can see, there is a fragment version, that could be considered a variation of Bales, and a freeform version. Janko step out. 22 April 2026 As usual, I love to investigate several variations.  You can draw other forms in the fragments, Put the spiker part inside or outside. Mix it in the same elements. You can do whatever you feel!  Janko fragment variations. 22 April 2026 Here I use Molygon as a reticula. And also some Tripoli. Molygon,...
