Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 69

I know, I have not been around for a while. I have been on holiday. The Azores are wonderful. Flights there can be problematic, but the islands have a definite charm, with their nature. I will probably go back, when more flowers are in bloom!

Will I manage to be back to the schedule and post more or less daily? We will see! :)

Even if the pattern shown here is pretty different, it is inspired by my Kietti. The center is not black, but like Printemps, or some variations. But still. That's why the name is mixing Kietti and Printemps.

I could not remember why I chose the name while I was taking the pics, but now that I am writing the post I got it back. Do you see the eyes and the beak? It looks like Woodywood pecker! Will I remember it when I add it to my pattern sketchbook? :D

I like this tangleation of Crescent Moon, I think it deserves a name of its own. And I like that you cna make plenty of variations! But you can make plenty of variations of every pattern.

And here the names for the patterns I just introduced. It comes handy that I give names straight away and add them in my tea bag envelopes. Coming up with names later takes time and is a bit artificial, having them close to the time of their creation makes everything a bit smoother and a lot more natural.

About Shading

I have been struggling with shading. At the beginning of my tangle adventure, I simply skipped shading. Then I started doing it every now and then, when I felt inspired. Now I am following the Zentangle Primer 1 and I feel like I must do it. And then I reached chapter 4. Shading. My hope was that all secrets about shading would have been unveiled, but I felt like they weren't. Since I did not want to go to Chapter 5 without being a bit better at shading, and still had two tiles to fill a page of 6, I was checking the web. And Barbara Langston came up, with this video I indeed recommend it if you want to learn something about different ways of shading. Uaso - spreading wings and tails all around

I arrived just some hours ago at my CZT seminar in Munich, but I will talk about it in more detail in another post (or more) after digesting everything. So many people around, so many languages (one of my passions, as some of you could already know)... and a long long way to the hotel. Here you can find one of my go-to patterns when I have to fill space. Lately, at least. I came up with it at a dinner with friends, I surely told a bit about it with my last bookmark post. Uaso is actually a kind of transliteration of oiseau, bird in French.
