Noziro and Gescu - do you like Fescu tangleations?

Coupling patterns again in the sam page? You know, I will do it more often and often with simple patterns, or tangleations... Especially if it's Fescu tangleations, I happen to have some around!

Time for Noziro and Gescu.

Noziro. The name is (H)orizon inverted. If you have any wobbly horizon line in your tangle, you can tangle leaves and Fescu there. In this deconstruction you can also see that you can draw more lines and stack more levels of Noziro. In real life there is only one horizon, in Zentangle there are no limits! Or maybe there are some, but you are free to break all of them!

And here we have a geometric Fescu, aka Gescu. Two Fescu (but maybe you want to try with more) intersecating. And then you can tangle or blacken the sections you obtained.

Using more filling, and filling all the space within Gescu. You know, I love to fill space, even if I don't do it always in my pattern sketchbook.

You can have more empty space and intersecate more Fescu. It is a bit more freestyle, but I love freestyle!

About Shading

I have been struggling with shading. At the beginning of my tangle adventure, I simply skipped shading. Then I started doing it every now and then, when I felt inspired. Now I am following the Zentangle Primer 1 and I feel like I must do it. And then I reached chapter 4. Shading. My hope was that all secrets about shading would have been unveiled, but I felt like they weren't. Since I did not want to go to Chapter 5 without being a bit better at shading, and still had two tiles to fill a page of 6, I was checking the web. And Barbara Langston came up, with this video I indeed recommend it if you want to learn something about different ways of shading. Uaso - spreading wings and tails all around

I arrived just some hours ago at my CZT seminar in Munich, but I will talk about it in more detail in another post (or more) after digesting everything. So many people around, so many languages (one of my passions, as some of you could already know)... and a long long way to the hotel. Here you can find one of my go-to patterns when I have to fill space. Lately, at least. I came up with it at a dinner with friends, I surely told a bit about it with my last bookmark post. Uaso is actually a kind of transliteration of oiseau, bird in French.
