Tea Bag Envelopes - Part 57

Wow, I just put small stickers on my keyboard to see where the Russian keys are, and I am still not used to the different feeling of the keyboard. I do not write Russian that often, but not knowing where the letters are drives me crazy. So, better having a strange feeling than getting crazier than I already am.

Ok, back to my tea bag envelopes. It looks we are now in Daiamo phase, but we will soon enter other phases!

Here we have some old friends. And some mushroom-like thingies that look like a mix between Huggins and my TaiFai. I will name it Taifai, just to find it!

Writing again. This is a new pattern, since it goes around, we have the name... I must add it in my brain storming pages, I think it's not there yet. You need to be there to be found and added to the pattern sketchbook, my dear pattern! Around this time I started checking a bit hand lettering, that is why I started writing a bit also in my tea bag envelopes.

About Shading

I have been struggling with shading. At the beginning of my tangle adventure, I simply skipped shading. Then I started doing it every now and then, when I felt inspired. Now I am following the Zentangle Primer 1 and I feel like I must do it. And then I reached chapter 4. Shading. My hope was that all secrets about shading would have been unveiled, but I felt like they weren't. Since I did not want to go to Chapter 5 without being a bit better at shading, and still had two tiles to fill a page of 6, I was checking the web. And Barbara Langston came up, with this video I indeed recommend it if you want to learn something about different ways of shading. Uaso - spreading wings and tails all around

I arrived just some hours ago at my CZT seminar in Munich, but I will talk about it in more detail in another post (or more) after digesting everything. So many people around, so many languages (one of my passions, as some of you could already know)... and a long long way to the hotel. Here you can find one of my go-to patterns when I have to fill space. Lately, at least. I came up with it at a dinner with friends, I surely told a bit about it with my last bookmark post. Uaso is actually a kind of transliteration of oiseau, bird in French.
