Daiamo - let's fill the space with diamonds!

Another day, another pattern. I have not updated teh new pattern sketchbook that often lately, even if I have a lot of patterns in my brain storming pages. You know, I think I am already one of the most prolific Zentangle bloggers around. I asked ChatGPT for suggestions to find more bloggers like me to start maybe commenting each other, but the conversation did not really help much. :D Apparently people were blogging more in the past. I am old fashioned! :D
I also discussed it with real people, but the thing is that people invest less time in blogging. And in general, they spend more time on Instagram or in Facebook.

I am still more a tangler at heart than a CZT, not because I do not like teaching, but I surely like more exploring than putting myself as an authority. There are people that have been tangling for a decade or longer on a regular basis, and I started 11 months ago. Who is the authority? My certificate? I don't think so! :)

Back to my pattern. We have Daiamo. A page full of diamonds! How much could it be worth?

Here the step out.  You do diamonds, you aura, you add more diamonds, you fill the empty space in a Courant way. You can see other variations in the page.

Another one with fillers. The flower is similar to my most common Srose flower, even if has no ribbon. I will probably have to make an edit to the Srose pattern.

I took the most of the pics at day time, but this one had problems. My camera got wobbly and in the end it did not save the image. And so, we have this different version taken with artificial light.
It's a bunch of aurad ribbons with fillers.Should I call the filler Crescent Moon? Sez? I will go with Crescent Moon.

About Shading

I have been struggling with shading. At the beginning of my tangle adventure, I simply skipped shading. Then I started doing it every now and then, when I felt inspired. Now I am following the Zentangle Primer 1 and I feel like I must do it. And then I reached chapter 4. Shading. My hope was that all secrets about shading would have been unveiled, but I felt like they weren't. Since I did not want to go to Chapter 5 without being a bit better at shading, and still had two tiles to fill a page of 6, I was checking the web. And Barbara Langston came up, with this video I indeed recommend it if you want to learn something about different ways of shading. Uaso - spreading wings and tails all around

I arrived just some hours ago at my CZT seminar in Munich, but I will talk about it in more detail in another post (or more) after digesting everything. So many people around, so many languages (one of my passions, as some of you could already know)... and a long long way to the hotel. Here you can find one of my go-to patterns when I have to fill space. Lately, at least. I came up with it at a dinner with friends, I surely told a bit about it with my last bookmark post. Uaso is actually a kind of transliteration of oiseau, bird in French.
