Another post for colored tiles. Also today I did not feel like following any tutorials, even if at the end I stumbled on some tiles in Mosaic from somebody called Arale there, looked for one of the tiles with Google Images and ended up seeing the most beautiful tiles on Pinterest, by somebody else. Yet, lot of stuff with wonderful colors and interesting gems! Who knows, they could be inspiration for the next post about colored tiles!
Here I did the first layer with metallic watercolor, with were not so interesting. I drew with metallic gel pens over it, but they don't really stand out in my opinion.

I don't remember if I added some charcoal pencils on top, but it seems so, and I remember I went with the eraser to clean a bit the borders (yes, an eraser works relatively well on charcoal pencil dust). Then I turned the tile, drew more or less the same with a black felt tip pen, and drew some almost invisible flux with the pink gel pen.

I think I prepared the background yesterday. I colored with india ink three tiles together. I used this one and another one to get the color excess from the one where I was pouring water and color.
It reminds me a Japanese print. Of course Japanese prints are nicer, but... I kind of like it anyway. It has its magic.
I started with white charcoal on the borders, and tangled shattuck also with the pencil. Then I drew drawings with a black pen, then wen for some brown flux drawn with a charcoal pencils, then... guess what... I blended it and drew smaller flux on top with a stabilo point 88. Then attempted the glass effect on the wings.
Another tile done with india ink, but I did it few minutes before tangling on it. I did not use much water, and used another tile to clean the excess.
I wanted to draw vertically, since in my page there was place for a rectangular tile put vertically. I like the pencils on the black tiles. Probably more than the gel pens.
Well it depends on the gel pens. The normal gelly rolls from Sakura are shiny but not so visible. Also the metallic are not the best. I tried the moonlight... and they worked! I have only five. Maybe I will consider to buy more, we will see! :D
Last but not least, a tile that I started coloring a while ago, together with the Oolong colored tile from another coloring post, and used today to clean colors from another tile I prepared with the wrong paper (wrong for watercolor).

The colors do not stand out with artificial light, I attempted with two different sources. I will probably also try with daylight to see if it comes better! In case I will update the post!
I was running out of ideas of things to tangle, then I thought about a border I like a lot, aleuba, then I checked my first sketchbook to find ideas. And Condor came out, by one of my favourite tanglers, Susie Ngamsuwan.
I think I like the upper lighting better, but you can sense the color a bit better if you check the version below.
