I decided to follow videos from Eva Wu to make some coloured tiles.
Fun thing, while looking for her I found a video by ShanDrawArt, but discovered it was not Eva Wu only after my tile was done. I know, I have not tangled a tile from Eva Wu yet. Shame on me!
The first I did was a study on gems. In the first gem I did not put white only on the bottom. Several gems would have come better with black on top instead of a color of a similar hue. But I like the result of my tile anyways! It could be a childish tile, it is not indeed helping me in improving my taste in colors, but at least I improved at gems, so far I tangled only one at my CZT seminar.
Could it be that the coloring is a bit more childish than I expected since it is not a video from Eva Wu?
Another thing I noticed: the tiles I prepared are made of a rather smooth paper, and also normal graphite should rather be blended with a stomp than with a tortillon to have a bit more control over it, since it blends so much all over with the lightest touch.
I also destroyed the fine tip of a white marker, I thought it was one to press if it did not write, like the Poscas. It fell in miserably. Fortunately the same pen had also a brush point on the other side. :D
You can see the tile with some of the gems without the charcoal pencils shading on top first, and the final result afterwards.

And here the video, in case you want to try the tile yourself!
Then I followed this video by Eva Wu.
I like a lot her results. Myself, I got my metallic watercolors, and they looked pretty different on black as they did on white. Most of them also went out of their space, since I had no precise color scheme in mind I simply got some of the colors out of their place.
The colors are not as vivid as the ones in Eva Wu video, so I decided to use colored gel pens instead of only the white one. I started with yellow, then I was wondering what to do.
And this is the same tile in the morning. And yet without chop. It means I have to take another pic! :D
And the version with the chop. Since this tile is so different with different lighting, I am keeping all versions! Please forgive me!

Then, instead of a video from Shie Naritomi, I ended up with a video using Yumemi, one of my favourite patterns, created by Shie.
The tile is probably nothing mindblowing, but I like its simplicity. I also have to learn to use colors in a simple way, to be able to do it decently also on my own.
I had to pass again the white pencil, and after using the pencils I passed all black lines with a pen slightly larger.

The same tile, but the lighting over the day is different! The contrast is better

And finally I followed a tutorial by Shie, but did everything in a different way!
I did not like the hearts, so I went on with Corfo and Gelijoy, that I like very much together.
I used a tile made with a paper that possibly would not have handled well water, and already used charcoal pencils and not watercolor pencils, so the result is very different. Yet I liked a lot to mix together pencils with different colors. It gives a sense of realism to the leaf colors in my opinion.

And after thinking a lot, I realized that the tile from Eva uses a flower that could possibly be seen as a Winterli variation.

Davvero belli!
