CZT EU 9 Seminar - Part 2

And here I am with the tiles from the third and last day of the CZT seminar.

All pictures are squared or almost squared, even the one on tiles of another size, since I uploaded them on Mosaic, and there everything must be squared! That is also a problem for several of the things I tangle, my sketchbooks do not fit well there! I will maybe come up with some ideas

My first gem ever probably. And maybe also the first time I tangle Hollis. It did not come out bad. I went a bit wilder than our teacher with the ghost tangles.

Here we sticked a bijouism on a regular tile. Everybody had a different bijouism, if you have Mosaic look for the tag #czteu9tile09 so you will see more mottos from the little Bijou.

Here we did a guided meditation. I was rushing into the conference room at the start, so I was less in meditation mood than usual, and could not get well when I had to go out of it, so I lost the first steps. I felt discomfort, anger, confusion. For some time I did not tangle, and the rest of time I rushed. The tile is very different from what was expected. In the end I got only dot, garlic like form, aura, small orbs to fill and did something there. Ravel was the expected pattern, Mine is something in-between Ravel, Rumpus and... let me know! Since I cannot tell. :D Yet this tile was appreciated by many, including Molly from ZHQ.

I loved drawing on this grey tile. The white gel pen pops out so well! And the glass feeling you get using the white and the light blue chalk pencils is so beautiful. Without copying others I am not able yet to use colors in such a way. I have myself a childish taste, and I am always afraid of messing everything up if I use colors. But I will have to tangle more on grey.

And here, the big opus tile (30x30 cm) that we did on the first and second day of the seminar. It was the funniest to do. I also managed to find a nice idea to shade the fragment!

    1. Nice tiles! I like the grey Zendala with the chalk shading/colouring, the grey paper really makes that pop. Your "angry" tile also reminds me of Michele Beauchamp's Garlic Cloves. 😊 And about shading and all: No worries, you'll get there, tile by tile. But the most important thing is to have fun!

    2. Yup, I love the glass effect on the grey tile. Both white and black pop.

I will have to learn to take the guided meditation as a way to tangle something unexpected. If I don't get it, it's even nicer.
Would it have been better, if I had known before the meditation that it did not matter if I got everything wrong?
I forgot there are no mistakes in Zentangle! :D
But most of all... Is digesting time anyway a good time for mediation? :D

I will try shading and coloring also without following. As discussed before, I should try more often to have more versions of the same tile and shade/color them differently... A bit like with your Phive Tile with enhancers. I can do it with different shading and coloring. :)

It's cool to have a tanglepal in Berlin! :)

  2. Die Meditation kannte ich schon. Ich glaube Molly hat das gleiche Muster so angeleitet. Deshalb war ich in dem Moment auch nicht so glücklich in der Meditation.

    1. Ohne Eile werde ich was noch probieren. Aber die Meditation vorher mache ich mit geöffnete Augen, oder dann komme ich nicht richtig zurück!
