Let's celebrate with another tangle pattern of mine, Ucitila.
I already "disclosed" in the title how I created the name. "Una ciliegia tira l'altra" means that when you have a cherry you need to have another one. I took the first sillable from every word, more or less.
I like this pattern because it is easy and you can basically use any form or mix it with other tangles and have other forms. Things that come out look like bracelets, pendants, laces, work wonderful for ribbons, dividers, petals. And sure more!
The pattern has been born here if I recall correctly. I was looking for ribbons to use in this tea bag envelope and Ucitila came out.

Then later I tried some more variations.

In my usual brainstorming page I am drawing variations and looking for a name. Because of its similarity to a necklace the first name was Perline (small pearls), then one after another, and soon after we had Ucitila. It did not take long.
On the path I found quite some patterns that share DNA with Ucitila, but I think we can consider them as separate, or maybe it is my pattern that has too many variations in the way that I think it.
The similar patterns I found are Stone Necklace by CZT Suzanne McNeill, Tupuk and Orna by CZT Ria Matheussen, Rain Gauge by HeidiSue Whitney, Alibi by Magali Feige. But there are surely more!
I anyway think my pattern is unique in its own way, and can be made unique by any tangler that approaches it!

And here, finally, the deconstruction.
