The first project pack is all about white gel pens.
You can find the videos here.
White gel pens... Do they do their job?
My answer is: very often they don't. You can use them on cardboard, at least on shiny one, but they do not work on many different kind of paper. Does this mean that the paper is bad or the pens? I ended up with a desire for paint pens.
I did not use them on the black or sepia tiles (sorry, I do not remember their names) from Zentangle, I know, I am pretty sure they would have worked better there. But using them for tranZending was a pain.
TranZending. Was introduced in a tile with Dewd, so I decided to look a bit more into tranZending and draw some tiles, especially since I still had some space on the last page of the project.
If you have some boring tiles, or tiles you are not very happy with, don't throw them away. You can give them a long and nice life with tranZending!
In this video from TanglesandToons you can see Narfello drawn on top of Sandswirl. Here I started getting more and more mad at the white gel pens (the Sakuras and all the others I have).
In this video by Melinda Barlow I found the other two examples I tangled. Simple and effective.
Here you can find a video from the headquarters. Some good suggestions here as well!
This other video has a very beautiful tile but I did not tangle together with the video because it seemed long and I wanted examples to be done relatively fast to understand better the technique.
And again, some tiles from Margaret Bremnet and a Ponterest collection.
Now you know almost everything I know about tranZending.
And finally the tiles!
