Minoo, il est mignon

And here, we have a flower that came out of my pen on one of my tea bag envelopes.

Once again there is a pattern I absolutely do not remember, at some time possibly I will see it again.

Minoo, Circus. 4 July 2025

I did not deconstruct it straight away, because in those days mom was visiting me, and later... I kind of forgot this pattern.
But when I stared at it again, I knew it was "new pattern material". I would say submission material for Linda, but I have too many patterns, and I have been asked to stop sending and do a selection. Would I select this one? Which ones would you select?

The name selection was pretty interesting. I looked for anagrams of the Italian name (Garofano) of the flower that resembles the first variation I did, but did not like any of the names. I looked for the English word, Carnation. The first automatic thought was to look for the words in Japanese for car and nation. I loved the sound of shakoku, but it means company announcement. Not so flower related. OK, car and nation are not either. I tried with other readings for car and nation, and anagrams, and then to get letters away, and in the end I decided for Minoo, which is similar to the French mignon, cute. And isn't this flower cute?

I know, I always look for inspiration in other languages, but I cannot stop loving languages because I found a new passion for Zentangle!
And I like to brainstorm on paper my ideas to name a pattern.

Here you can find the well structured deconstruction.
