Izzy and other fragments

I am always surprised because I cannot find patterns that are the easiest, yet... you know, Zentangle, theoretically it should be non-representative even if in the end it is, because reality is what inspires us. And Zentangle flowers are so nice!

So, I ended up trying the easiest of flowers in the smallest of tiles. Easy, or better Izy... but then saw that Musterquelle want names that are at least four letters, therefore I went for Izzy. Not really related to Ozzy leaving this strange planet, I made up the name some days before that.

By the way, a couple of days ago I watched a video about fragments. Maybe the same pattern is there but I haven't investigated fragments enough yet. I will probably soon do that!
In the meantime, I decided to get my own small fragments to try out and mix them out to see how fragments work together.

Do you have a good idea to store them? I put them together with paper clips, but it does not sound the best way to keep them safe and sound for a long time.

Here there is another fragment of mine as well. Not named yet. I mean, the pattern is so easy again that there is possibly some variations around from other tanglers or CZT.

Here there is the same pattern and some more random stuff. This is the first drawing I did at home, after a workshop from a colleague. I know it is not so much Zentangle, but I did it before checking any video.

Here again the other flower fragment.

And here some fragments. I did not write down the codes, and some could not be from official Zentangle. I made them up a bit. I just bought Zentangle Primer 1, I will update with the fragment code if somebody asks for it!

And here I am doing small fragments, to play with them and see how they match with each other.

I am grouping the similar ones together with a paperclip.

As you can see...

And I can put them together.

I have also drew some fragments that all touch the borders in similar place. I will see if I want to do for them as well a set of 4 on small cardboard tiles and play with them to see what fits! :)

  1. There is another Izzy by Cyndi Knapp. Another easy floral pattern. I will have to find a way to distinguish patterns with the same name. Probably by stating the author in the label in such cases. :)
