Hi there.
So far I have posted here new patterns only after submitting them to TanglePatterns.
But Linda last time told me to wait a bit, and later only send the patterns that I like better.
Possibly seeing them here will give me some perspective, especially if somebody will give me feedback!
So... Let's go!
Today's the turn of another flower. Fiordaliso.
Nice story. I saw a purple flower, only one, among leaves at the local VHS (Volkshochschule, a kind of open university, a place that offers courses to everybody) and I was struck by its beauty and simplicity and strength. One single flower made it! I double checked, and discovered it is a cornflower, or fiordaliso in Italian.
I had to draw it and deconstruct it.
The first drawing is here.

Second "official" deconstruction. On my big sketchbook for deconstructions.
I wanted to use the name Fiordaliso, but then after one of the drawings I also wanted to call it Ponpon. Can you use two names for a pattern? Here on the blog I decided to use Ponpon, but I can always call it again Fiordaliso if the name resonates better!
The culprit. Unfortunately I am very bad at taking pics. :D

I should probably do more drawings with this pattern and incorporate it in bigger designs. We'll see! :)
Today I also tried the Document filter of Microsoft Lens, to have white paper instead of grey in my pics. Shading is lost, but there was little here only in the second deconstruction.
I will have to find another filter... or find another fast way to improve coloring and contrast for my pics. Or start scanning.
Should I check if my old scanner still works?
