Dansolo, you don't really have to dance solo

Very often I draw a pattern and another one comes natural.

In this case I was drawing Dano, ended up with some holes in my tea bag and did a solo version of Dano, which is a ribbon.

Dano inspires me much, as it reminds me Felix The Cat. A bit obnoxious, I know, but my first TV romance as a kid was Dr Spock, apparently I liked obnoxious non-humans. :D

This pattern can have tons of variations. It is easy and funny, but I also like cartoonish tangles.

I think I have this pictures also somewhere else in the blog already, probably in the TanglesAndToons post. The right moment to come up with a toonish tangle!

Here, the first page with variations. I got the habit of doing the first deconstruction, list of variations or similar stuff on big A4 copy paper. It is like a list of the pattern that I want to really deconstruct, and they will go in a big sketch book where I put them. Very often not the same day.

And finally the deconstruction. Step 3 of course is how to do the main variation, but then there are many others. I think it is all easy enough and they do not need further step-outs, but if you need it for any of the variations let me know!
