Back to the basics with Zentangle Primer Volume 1

I will attend CZT EU-09 in Munich in February.

Among the suggestions from Conzentric, the organisers of the CZT seminars here in Europe, there was to follow Zentangle Primer Volume 1.
And therefore I got a Kindle version of it.

The first two chapters came out pretty easy. I did not draw very often Florz, Hollibaugh and Shattuck before, but they are not so difficult.

The good thing is that in these first two chapters I used borders, strings and did some shading in every tile. There were some tips. I found ways to shade some of the patterns that resonate better with me, but you need to start somewhere!
And I discovered that drawing strings and borders with a pencil at the beginning improves dramatically the balance of the tiles.
I also have to admit that I drew a string after drawing the most of the tile. I found out I wanted a hole in the middle and did not want to fill the existing section with Crescent Moon in the last tile for the first chapter, so I drew a line close to where I was.

The book also introduced the nice concept of tangleation, or mixing together patterns, with useful examples.
